Our Story
A Journey of Triumph and Connection
Sometimes tragedy brings triumph. Sometimes burdens bring blessings. That's been my journey as a Breast cancer Survivor. Diagnosed in November 2024, my first consultation with an Oncologist January 2025, and a month later, Central Healing was launched. Initially, it was an idea written with a black marker on giant Post-It sheets pasted on my bedroom wall for over 2 years. One day I would get to it. I was still working full time as a Registered Nurse, still caring for my two children with the youngest being nonverbal with Severe Autism. These were hard times for my family, especially for me. Recovery from a Double Mastectomy took 4 months due to complications in healing. However, during that timeframe, Abigail's Song was born. The story had been written 3 years prior when my daughter was 6 years old.
It was merely another simple journal entry, or so I thought at the time. Unbeknownst to me, God had a plan. My inner voice or spirit had always loved writing and wanted to explore it but I never had the time. Fast forward 3 years to Double Mastectomy recovery, God made the time for me. During prayer/meditation one morning, the message received was,"Do something with that story." My response,"What story?". I chuckle to myself now reflecting on that moment because I knew nothing about anything outside of nursing. Publishing, authorship, marketing, entrepreneurship were all foreign concepts that scared me almost as much as the diagnosis, but there was a sense of comfort because I was doing what I was asked to do. Therefore, there was also bubble or in my belly that I dove into.
My mission gave me life again and I loved it. By October 2025, Abigail's Song was self published and available on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles online, IngramSparks and Lulu. I'd created my own website centralhealing.org. A month later, I'd sold 50 books on Amazon alone. By December, I'd secured an offshore offset printing relationship and exactly one year from my Double Mastectomy as well as the first anniversary of Central Healing, LLC, I'd sold over 1,000 copies of Abigail's Song. Didn't realize it until later because I was focused on the mission. God's mission. As a parent of a child who is nonverbal with severe Autism, it's hard but there's a beauty that I wanted to share with others. There's a normalcy within the complexities that can be understood by the public. That normalcy is based on the life force of connection. Abigail's Song is about connection while offering guidance through the complexities of Autism within the nonverbal sector. Central Healing, LLC carries that mission of connection through its publications which, by popular demand, will become a series.

Coaching Support
Coaching designed to help parents, caregivers, individuals, and groups feel supported as they navigate the complexities of life. As a nurse, mom of a Gifted and Talented child (oldest) as well as severely delayed one with Autism (youngest), parenting has been beautiful yet complicated over the past two decades. Whether navigating school systems to find the best classroom for my children or finding affordable and adequate community resources for them to thrive, or even still teaching her how to brush her teeth at nine years old, I've experienced alot and often felt alone in rooms full of people. That's not a good feeling and Central Healing's Coaching services are here to help. We offer a safe space for both the special needs community (parents, caregivers, therapists, educators, etc) and general public who are having difficulties and need an empathetic, confidential environment to heal.
